NEC FARM-Katonga Ltd is another NEC subsidiary with a ranch situated in Kisozi 90 miles South West of Kampala. The ranch has been earmarked by Government to spearhead a cattle fattening project for export-grade beef targeting the world market. The cattle fattening project has already started with the introduction of 2800 carefully selected young breeds of bulls.

Farmers will also benefit from the project as they are involved in the supply chain. The project has since directly and indirectly provided over 1000 jobs to both skilled and semi-skilled locals in construction, bush clearing, fencing and other related services. NEC Farm-Katonga is also to provide quality breeds to farmers
