HON HUDA OLERU ABASON PRESIDES OVER GRAND OPENING OF NEC-STREIT ARMOURED VEHICLE SHOWROOM.

The grand opening of the NEC-STREIT (U) Ltd armoured vehicle showroom at Abaita Babiri in Entebbe marked a significant milestone in Uganda’s pursuit of security and safety.
NEC-STREIT (U) Ltd is a Joint Venture between National Enterprise Corporation (NEC) and STREIT Group for the manufacture and assembly of the armoured vehicles in Uganda.
The Minister of State for Defence and Veteran Affairs, Hon. Huda Oleru Abason, presided over the ceremony, representing Hon. Jacob Markson Oboth Oboth, the Minister of Defence and Veteran Affairs.
Hon. Huda emphasized that the showroom symbolizes the government’s commitment to providing top-notch solutions for both security and civilians.
She highlighted the importance of the Joint Venture between National Enterprise Corporation (NEC) and Streit Group, which has established a manufacturing facility in Nakasongola, Uganda.
The Minister expressed confidence that the showroom would serve as a hub for knowledge sharing, progression, and growth, ultimately contributing to the security and safety of the nation.
Hon Huda thanked President Yoweri Museveni for his wisdom, foresight, and unwavering commitment to making Uganda a safe and peaceful country.
The Minister further thanked the manufacturers and partners who have contributed to the making of the showroom and pledged that the Ministry would continue to invest in defence industries to promote innovation and excellence.
Mr. Guerman Goutorov, Chairman of Streit Group, emphasized that the showroom marks a new era of partnership and collaboration between Streit Group and NEC.
He highlighted the company’s commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction and invited customers to visit the showroom to experience the quality and craftsmanship of their armoured vehicles.
Lt Gen James Mugira, Managing Director of NEC, welcomed the Minister and thanked the guests for honouring the invitation and highlighting the background of the Joint Venture between NEC and Streit Group.
Gen Mugira emphasized that the showroom would enhance customer interaction, demonstrate product capabilities, and foster a deeper understanding of the brand.
The showroom, strategically located on the main highway to Entebbe International Airport, showcases NEC-STREIT’s range of armoured vehicles, designed to provide secured transportation and protection for government officials, VIPs, and other high-profile individuals.
The event marked a significant step forward in Uganda’s pursuit of security and safety, and the showroom is expected to play a crucial role in promoting the country’s defence industry.
