A delegation of senior staff from NEC Uzima paid a courtesy visit to their sister subsidiary, Luwero Industries Limited (LIL).

On July 11th, 2024, a delegation of senior staff from NEC Uzima, led by General Manager Maj Edgar Ankwasa, paid a courtesy visit to their sister subsidiary, Luwero Industries Limited (LIL), in Nakasongola. Both companies are subsidiaries of the National Enterprise Corporation (NEC), which is the commercial arm of the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs (MoDVA) and the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF).

The NEC Uzima team was warmly received by Lt Col Richard Nkwasibwe, Human Resource Manager and Administration, who represented the General Manager of Luwero Industries, Maj Gen Sabiti Muzeyi.

 Lt Col Nkwasibwe expressed his gratitude to the Uzima management for taking the time to visit LIL, describing the occasion as a special one, being the first of its kind in NEC.

During the visit, Lt Col Nkwasibwe briefed the Uzima team on the operations and activities of LIL.

 Maj Edgar Ankwasa, in turn, thanked Maj Gen Sabiti Muzeyi for accommodating their request to visit LIL.

Maj Ankwasa informed LIL management that their visit was to see how the two subsidiary companies could work together, learn from each other, and then benefit collectively.

Maj Ankwasa described the visit as fundamental because it has allowed the Uzima team to come and see what LIL is doing and also to identify areas of collaboration and cooperation and has now cemented the inter subsidiary cooperation.

Maj Ankwasa thanked PRO- Heli International Services Ltd in a special way for the warm hospitality accorded to them and the great work in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of the helicopters

Maj Ankwasa thanked LIL for being a loyal customer in buying Uzima Natural Mineral Water.

Maj Ankwasa extended an invitation to LIL to visit Uzima Natural Mineral Water factory in Kakiri-Wakiso.

Uzima team was taken on a guided tour of LIL production centres and Joint Ventures of Kyoga Dynamics, NEC-STREIT (U) Ltd, and PRO Heli International Services factory.
