The Managing Director-National Enterprise Corporation received a high level Egyptian delegation at NEC Farm Katonga-Kisozi.
On 18th October 2020, Lt Gen James Mugira-The Managing Director-National Enterprise Corporation received a high level Egyptian delegation at NEC Farm Katonga-Kisozi, Gomba District.
NEC Farm Katonga is one of the subsidiaries of National Enterprise Corporation where NEC is implementing a Joint Model Farm-EGYPT-UGANDA JOINT MODEL FARM (EUJMF).
The purpose of the visit was to review the progress of the activities of the EUJMF and to further extend similar activities to NALI-Kyankwanzi.
The Egyptian delegation that was led by DR MAHER EL – MAGHRABY -Executive Director of Egyptian Joint Model Farms Projects in Africa included
ENG MAGDY DARWISH- Vice President C3A group Business Company ,MR ALY ELGAMEL member of C3A GROUP and MR AHMED GHONEM Foreign Relations Min of Agriculture.
The delegation had a guided tour led by Gen James Mugira in both NEC Farm Katonga and Kyankwanzi Farms.
The Egypt-Uganda Joint Model Farm Project was pursuant to an Executive Contract signed between the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Government of the Republic of Uganda in different fields of Agriculture on 8th May 2018 in Cairo, Egypt to enhance research activities aimed at improving Agricultural and Livestock production through the use of high yielding variety seeds and high quality animal breeds applying Egyptian advanced technology.
The function was attended by Mr. Mukombozi Daniel-Corporation Secretary, Col Wycliffe Keita-General Manager-NEC Farm Katonga, Dr. Ayman Hassan
General Manager- Egypt Uganda Joint Model Farm , Col Kagwisa and Dr. Mohamed Arafa -Crops Breeding Expert among others.
