NEC and China Oil HBP Group (HBP)Forge Stronger Ties in Energy Sector.

Yesterday, April 14, 2025, Lt Gen James Mugira, National Enterprise Corporation’s (NEC) Managing Director, warmly welcomed Mr. Huan Song, Chairman and Founder of HBP, and his delegation to the NEC office in Bugolobi, Kampala.

During their meeting, Gen Mugira expressed gratitude to HBP for investing in crucial projects that benefit Uganda. He noted that their collaboration was just the beginning of a fruitful relationship, with many more opportunities awaiting exploration.

 Gen Mugira emphasized the importance of expanding their operations, highlighting the potential for mutual growth.

Mr. Huan echoed Gen Mugira’s sentiments, expressing satisfaction with the partnership’s progress. He delivered a presentation showcasing HBP’s pivotal role in the energy and environmental sectors, underscoring the company’s commitment to innovative solutions.

As a key partner with Luwero Industries, a subsidiary of NEC, HBP is working to manage waste from crude oil drilling in Kingfisher, Kikuube District. This joint effort aims to promote environmental sustainability and responsible resource development.

The meeting was attended by senior NEC staff, including Maj Gen Sabiiti Muzeyi, General Manager of Luwero Industries. Both parties are optimistic about their collaboration’s potential to drive growth and development in Uganda’s energy sector.
