GEN MUGIRA DECORATES PROMOTED NEC OFFICERS

Yesterday, 11th March 2025, Lt Gen James Mugira, Managing Director of the National Enterprise Corporation (NEC), decorated  Col. James Okiring, General Manager Finance-NEC, and Col. William Mugenyi, Chief Accountant of NEC Security Services Ltd with their new ranks at the NEC Headquarters in Bugolobi, Kampala.

The two officers were recently promoted from the rank of Lt Col to full Colonel by H.E. Gen (Rtd) Yoweri K. Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda and Commander-in-Chief of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces.

Gen Mugira congratulated the two senior officers on the milestone and their well-deserved promotion.

He acknowledged that their promotion was a significant achievement and  reminded them that their new ranks come with huge responsibilities.

Gen  Mugira emphasized that ranks are a sign of recognition of one’s service, dedication, commitment, loyalty, and professionalism.

Gen Mugira thanked the H.E The President and Comander – in Chief and the Chief of Defence Forces for finding the promoted Colonels fit and proper persons  to deserve promotion and for the trust and confidence.

He urged Col. Okiring and Col. Mugenyi to remain loyal and committed to their country and to continue serving with excellence.
