NEC’s Luwero Industries Takes Leap Forward with Completed Projects.
Today, March 7, 2025, Lt Gen James Mugira, the Managing Director of the National Enterprise Corporation (NEC), commissioned several completed projects at Luwero Industries in Nakasongola District. This milestone marks a significant step forward for Luwero Industries, a subsidiary of NEC managed by Maj Gen Sabiiti Muzeyi.
As Gen Mugira took a guided tour of the facilities, he was impressed by the progress made. The newly commissioned projects include staff residences, a solar power backup system, Kiira Motors Staff Quarters, a parking yard, main gate, football pitch, gate barricades for access control and staff daily attendance management, fuel dispenser facility management, 100 metric ton weigh bridge, shredder, machine shop roofing, control room, and a Luwero Industries cafe.
Gen Mugira expressed his gratitude to the Luwero Industries management for their teamwork and dedication. He noted that every time he visits, he finds remarkable development and progress. Encouraging the team to maintain the facilities, Gen Mugira emphasized the importance of sustainability and continuous improvement.
These projects demonstrate NEC’s commitment to enhancing the lives of its employees and contributing to Uganda’s socio-economic development. As Gen Mugira continues to lead NEC, the Corporation is poised to play a vital role in shaping Uganda’s future.
